Float glass is a sheet of glass made by floating molten glass on a bed of molten metal, typically tin. This method gives the sheet uniform thickness and very flat surfaces. Modern windows are made from float glass. Most float glass produced in the world is soda-lime glass, but relatively smaller quantities of specialty borosilicate glass such as Borofloat® and flat panel display glasses such are also produced using the float glass process. All of the following products that JNS has categorized under General Float Glass products are all soda-lime based products.
