JNS Glass & Coatings was established Yorkville, IL in 1993 with a mission to supply tempered and precision fabricated glass to industrial and commercial OEM’s. Our commitment to supplying quality precision fabricated glass components has always been driven by an intense focus on superior customer service. Because of this commitment to quality and service, JNS still partners some of the same customers that trusted in us in 1993.

While JNS continues to improve on the capabilities the company was founded on, industrial glass fabrication and glass strengthening, we have evolved into a turnkey supplier of custom precision optics, optical windows, thin film coatings and bandpass filters for applications including machine vision, lighting, defense, display and electronics, avionics, industrial and biomedical. Our manufacturing capabilities including CNC glass machining, thermal and chemical glass tempering, glass silk-screening and printing, glass cutting and waterjet cutting, glass edge grinding and polishing, glass precision slicing and dicing, glass drilling, Corning Gorilla Glass fabrication, thin film optical coatings, and production of custom glass lenses, filters and mounts.

THE HISTORY OF JNS GLASS & COATINGS
1993 – JNS Glass founded to become supplier of industrial tempered glass solutions
1999 – Started distributing and fabricating Borofloat33™ which replaced Corning Pyrex® sheet glass in the marketplace
2002 – Entered the lighting market as a premiere supplier of accessory and cover lenses for lighting OEM’s around the world
2005 – Began producing thin film coatings and became turnkey supplier of coated optical windows
2009 – Machine Vision Filters, Mounts and Lenses
2011 – Investments in printing and chemical strengthening to support the electronic display market. Added oleophobic coating product line.
2012 – Certified to strengthen and fabricate Corning Gorilla™ Glass
2013 – Added laser etching equipment
2015 – New robotics equipment for precision mounting of camera filters
2017 – Added new product line of molded lenses, tubing and rod
